Ephemeral represents the moving nature of our experience of life. Things come and go and we must find ways to overcome the discomfort of being unable to control, yet keep connected. Nature teaches us resilience, to find harmony with each other, to support and work together, to connect. It is in this frame of thinking and feeling that Ephemeral Art Play was seeded as a project to capture what precious learning 2020 delivered, share messages of hope, ways of reaching out and reaching inwards, feeling our way forward.
The project invites artists, sculptors, all those working with natural found materials to create an installation piece that entices community interaction, to share in expressing as prompted by the artwork. The works will be installed within Coronation Park in Healesville during the month of March. Each artist will receive $1500.
We seek to foster connection, interaction, expression and marking a point in time of significant change, to be documented through images and written word.
